Continental DivideI posted the photos from Albuquerque through Continental Divide along I-40. This set includes my first shots of ravens. The next few photos will cover the scenery from Church Rock through Gallup, and then we head up into the Navajo Nation. I watched the end of the season for Dr. Who. Is the terrible, universe-ending question something like, "Who is Dr. Who?" 1 comment

The whole deal with "the question" and "The Fields of Tranzalore" and "the fall of the Eleventh" (the current Doctor is his eleventh regeneration so think about the possible foreshadowing... or maybe misdirection) will be part of the plot for next year. Or maybe the year after. The series began in 1963, so I think a lot of it depends on how Steve Moffat wants to play the 50th anniversary thing.
I liked how this year ended. A lot. It was probably one of the cleverest things Moffat has done because it really did come out of nowhere, takes things in a completely unexpected direction, and actually WORKS from both a logical perspective and the meta rules of Doctor Who. The end last year with the death of the universe and subsequent reboot was personally enjoyable because I like paradoxes, but the "Moffat pulled it out of his ass" aspect was a downer. I had a few possibilities in mind for how the Doctor might manage to save himself from his death this year, but none of them were as elegant as what actually played out. Especially with it being atypical for how this Doctor always seems to have everything thought up well in advance.
